This is a magnificent timber frame property dating back to the 12th-century, with alterations from between its inception and the 16th-century.
It can be found deep in the heart of Gloucestershire in the pastoral village of Frampton-on-Severn. Frampton Manor is a superb building, it has historic glass of the 16th-century, a barn of the same period and a delightful old walled garden stocked with sweetly scented plants.
The manor is believed to have been the home of "Fair Rosamund", mistress of Henry II and rival of the jealous Queen Eleanor.
Frampton Manor is part of the Frampton Court Estate, which dates back to the 11th-century.
Both house and barn are well worth seeing, but visiting is by appointment only. Appointments are granted upon written application or via the telephone to Frampton Court Estate.
Frampton-on-Severn is extremely picturesque, cricket is played on the village green which divides the manor from the court. Frampton's village green is believed to be the longest village green in England.
